Evonik's VESTAMELT® X1333-P1 is a copolyamide-based adhesion promoter specially modified to create an exceptional bond between metallic and polymer surfaces. It significantly improves the mechanical properties (for example torsion stiffness) compared to existing hybrid components and allows customers to save up to 20% material. This new adhesive hybrid technology can be used in the automotive industry for front-end modules, roof rails, instrument panel cross beams and more for weight reduction and performance enhancement. Additional applications are found in other industries as well, for example in electronics.
